Junior review: Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend
Review by Elizabeth Morrison, 10 years old
Nevermoor is a heartwarming story that will soon become the favourite of most children and adults.
I liked if from the start and the first time I read it, I felt like I was standing next to Morrigan Crow, a girl who has been cursed, the whole time, picturing everything she saw. That included being introduced to a magical world, killer hounds and knights and chandeliers that grow like teeth. In this land, Morrigan aims to escape the fate of cursed children – a young death – by passing a series of trials.
Nevermoor has many mysteries yet to know of and I can hardly contain my excitement at the thought of book two, wondering what it is going to be about.
In the land of Nevermoor, everything is close to a small child’s wonderland, for example, my twin five-year-old brothers have big imaginations and I hope they enjoy Nevermoor as much as I do.
